Reliability estimation of a complex renewable system with an unbounded number of repair units. (English) Zbl 0746.60087

Consider a coherent binary system of \(n\) binary elements. The failure intensity of every element depends only on the states of the other elements. Every element after its failure is immediately repaired and after the repair comes back to its place at once. The model of this system is a regenerative process and the goal of the paper is to estimate the probability of the system failure during a regenerative period. It is shown that the first system failure is, in some sense, asymptotically exponential distributed.
