2-neighborhoods and Hamiltonian conditions. (English) Zbl 0761.05066
Author’s abstract: In terms of local properties of 2-neighborhoods (sets of vertices at distance 2 from a vertex or a subgraph), new sufficient conditions for a graph to be Hamiltonian are obtained. In particular, results of Fan and Chvátal and Erdős are generalized. The new results also apply to graphs with larger diameter.
