Summary: Robertson et al. provide an elegant, thorough and accessible overview of the rich theoretical background of response adaptive randomization. Many completed and ongoing clinical trials utilize these methods with demonstrated success. We provide a summary of multiple real world examples of response adaptive randomization, and a discussion of themes that arise in planning and executing response adaptive trials.
