Open problems (collected by E. Ballico, C. Ciliberto and F. Catanese).

*(English)*Zbl 0781.14016
Classification of irregular varieties, minimal models and abelian varieties, Proc. Conf., Trento/Italy 1990, Lect. Notes Math. 1515, 140-146 (1992).

[For the entire collection see Zbl 0744.00029.]

First we spend a few lines on the fate of some of the problems collected in the problem list appeared at the end of a previous proceedings volume [cf. Algebraic curves and projective geometry, Proc. Conf., Trento/Italy 1988, Lect. Notes Math. 1389, 276-285 (1989; Zbl 0675.14008)] edited by E. Ballico and C. Ciliberto.

Here is the new list of problems and questions. Problem (1) is on modular forms and theta-functions. Problem (2) is on \(K\)-theory. Problems (3), (4) and (5) are concerned with the behaviour of linear systems on complex projective curves. Problems (i) with \(6\leq i\leq 16\) were a “private” list worked out by the participants of a workshop on “Hyperplane sections and bounds of the genus of curves in \(\mathbb{P}^ n\)” (Nice, 8- 12th april 1991) organized by Ph. Ellia and R. Strano.
