Jordan \((\theta,\varphi)\)-derivations. (English) Zbl 0798.16023

A well-known result of I. N. Herstein stating that every Jordan derivation of a prime ring of characteristic not 2 is a derivation is generalized to Jordan \((\theta,\varphi)\)-derivations.
