Summary: A method of complex singularities is proposed which, with the help of certain qualitative and quantitative characteristics, can be used to describe chaos in multidimensional continuous systems (with strange attractors) of the type obtained by Galerkin’s approximation from the Navier-Stokes equations. One of the best known systems for turbulent flow is used as an example.
