On initial boundary value problems for a viscous, heat-conducting, one- dimensional real gas. (English) Zbl 0805.35074

Summary: We consider initial boundary value problems, including boundary damping, for the equations of motion of a viscous, heat-conducting, one- dimensional real gas and prove the existence of globally defined smooth (large) solutions.
