The authors study lattices in Euclidean \(n\)-space \(E^ n\) containing \(n\) independent minimal vectors; in particular perfect lattices. They investigate the property of perfection for relative lattices spanned by minimal vectors for some classical lattices. As a helpful tool they consider sections (generated by the lattice) of small codimension. The investigated lattices have ‘small’ dimensions and are closely related to the Leech lattice.
