Pant, R. P. Common fixed points of noncommuting mappings. (English) Zbl 0830.54031 J. Math. Anal. Appl. 188, No. 2, 436-440 (1994). From the text: “In the present paper we introduce the notion of \(R\)-weak commutativity of mappings. Under the assumption of \(R\)-weak commutativity we prove two common fixed point theorems for pairs of mappings. The results obtained give proper generalizations of many important fixed point theorems and open up a wider scope for the study of common fixed points under contractive-type conditions”.
