The disturbance decoupling problem for systems over a ring. (English) Zbl 0831.93011
A necessary and sufficient condition for the solvability of the disturbance decoupling problem by static feedback in terms of invariant submodules is given for injective systems over a commutative ring. A procedure for checking these conditions and for constructing solutions is given in the case when the underlying ring is a principal ideal domain. Moreover, the authors present a necessary and sufficient condition for the solvability of the disturbance decoupling problem by dynamic feedback for systems over a principal ideal domain.
