From the text: We study the question whether the Bott property for integrable Hamiltonian systems is a property of general position. The fact is that all known integrable systems arising in mechanics and physics are Bott systems at almost all energy levels. This question is also of interest because a topological Fomenko-Zieschang invariant was discovered for Bott systems that classifies such systems to within fine topological equivalence.
