Kubáček, Lubomír Criterion for an approximation of variance components in regression models. (English) Zbl 0852.62063 Acta Univ. Palacki. Olomuc., Fac. Rerum Nat., Math. 34, 91-108 (1995). Summary: In a linear model with variance components the locally best linear unbiased estimator of the mean value parameters depends on the values of the variance components. The problem is to find a region around the given values of the variance components in which the best linear unbiased estimator does not change essentially.
