Numerical analysis of a model for phase separation of a multi-component alloy. (English) Zbl 0857.65137
The authors consider a fully discrete, implicit, finite element discretization of a model for isothermal phase separation of a multi-component alloy. They prove existence, uniqueness, and stability of the approximate solution (for sufficiently small time steps). They also prove a convergence result and describe some numerical experiments.
