Summary: The majority of papers on the reconstruction of Earth surface parameters considers only the interface between air and soil. The layered surfaces are investigated mainly from the viewpoint of vertical subsurface sounding, and one-dimensional inverse problems are considered. In this paper, we propose solutions to inverse problems of both subsurface soil parameter and image reconstruction that arise in remote sensing survey systems such as synthesized-aperture radar used for cartography.
