Decoupling in singular systems: A polynomial equation approach. (English) Zbl 0873.93045

Using the matrix polynomial equation method, necessary and sufficient conditions for the row by row decoupling by static state feedback for singular square systems are established. An algorithm for calculation of feedback gains is presented and illustrated by a numerical example.
