Stability radii for some propagation models. (English) Zbl 0873.93067
For three models from propagation dynamics which are stable, the authors give sufficient conditions such that a feedback applied to these equations will not destabilize the system. The feedback is parameterized by a one-dimensional constant. The closed-loop systems are rewritten into neutral differential equations with a structured perturbation. Following D. Hinrichsen and A. J. Pritchard [Syst. Control Lett. 7, 1-10 (1986; Zbl 0631.93064), Syst. Control Lett. 8, 105-113 (1986; Zbl 0626.93054)], the authors calculate an interval for the one-dimensional constant such that (closed-loop) system is stable.
