Domain decomposition method with nonmatching grids applied to fluid dynamics. (English) Zbl 0874.76040
Morgan, K. (ed.) et al., Finite elements in fluids: new trends and applications. Proceedings of the 8th international conference, Barcelona, Spain, September 20-23, 1993. Part I. Barcelona: Centro Internacional de Métodos Numéricos en Ingeniería. 418-426 (1993).
Summary: We discuss the resolution of a steady advection-diffusion problem in \(\mathbb{R}^3\) using domain decomposition methods with nonmatching grids. A major point in this analysis consists in establishing an optimal upper bound for the error in \(H^1\) norm. This strategy permits to use parallel machines for computing viscous flows.
