Summary: We discuss the resolution of a steady advection-diffusion problem in $$\mathbb{R}^3$$ using domain decomposition methods with nonmatching grids. A major point in this analysis consists in establishing an optimal upper bound for the error in $$H^1$$ norm. This strategy permits to use parallel machines for computing viscous flows.
