El Ghaoui, Laurent; Oustry, Francois; AitRami, Mustapha A cone complementarity linearization algorithm for static output-feedback and related problems. (English) Zbl 0887.93017 IEEE Trans. Autom. Control 42, No. 8, 1171-1176 (1997). The problem of reduced order dynamical feedback is considered. According to Anderson, this problem is decidable but not with clear complexity analysis. According to Doyle, a necessary and sufficient condition for its solution is given by some matrix inequalities. A linearization algorithm for solving these inequalities is presented and its convergence proved. Several numerical experiments for some large dimensions of the state space are presented.
