Noncoalescent minimal discrete flows. (English) Zbl 0916.54023

Andima, Susan (ed.) et al., Papers on general topology and applications. Papers from the 8th summer conference at Queens College, New York, NY, USA, June 18–20, 1992. New York, NY: The New York Academy of Sciences. Ann. N. Y. Acad. Sci. 728, 269-275 (1994).
The authors present a general method of construction of minimal discrete flows which are noncoalescent, i.e., they admit an endomorphism that is not an automorphism (examples of such flows have previously been known). The method gives flows in the form of some skew products and is a variation of methods used in the construction of minimal discrete flows by Ellis and by Glasner and Weiss.
