Summary: The aim of this paper is to obtain a common fixed point theorem for four mappings satisfying minimal type commutativity and contractive conditions. Besides compatible maps, the theorem also deals with noncompatible maps – a class of mappings for which fixed point theorems have not yet been studied systematically.
