This work is a short survey of many of the extensions of the Browder-Fan fixed-point theorem [F. E. Browder, Math. Ann. 177, 283-301 (1968; Zbl 0176.45204); K. Fan, ibid. 142, 305-310 (1961; Zbl 0093.36701)]. It also contains recent results of the author, most of which have been done in collaboration with H. Ben-El-Mechaiekh and M. Lassonde [C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris, Sér. I 305, 381-384 (1987; Zbl 0638.47054); Topol. Methods Nonlinear Anal. 5, No. 2, 261-269 (1995; Zbl 0877.54017)].
