Qualitative properties of functional differential equations with “maxima”. (English) Zbl 0934.34058
The authors deal with oscillation and nonoscillation of the solutions to functional-differential equations with “maxima” of the form \[ [x(t)-p(t)x(t-\tau)]' +q(t) \max_{[t-\sigma,t]}x(s) =0. \tag{*} \] Some sufficient conditions are established. Some examples are shown to explain that the behavior of solutions to (*) is different from those to the equation without “maxima” of the form \[ [x(t)-p(t)x(t-\tau)]' +q(t) x(t-\sigma)=0. \]
