Singularities of Maxwell interface problems. (English) Zbl 0937.78003
The time harmonic Maxwell equations are considered in heterogeneous media in which the permeability and permittivity are piecewise constant functions. It is shown that the associated boundary value problem can be interpreted as a transmission problem in which the interfaces can have edges and corners. Detailed descriptions are given of the edge and corner singularities of the electromagnetic fields involved.
