A survey of some problems of stability and stabilization of nonlinear control systems is presented. The main results and approaches to these questions are discussed. The question of continuity of feedbacks (for stabilization) is discussed and the author explains the necessity to use discontinuous feedback. Also robust control systems are studied, i.e. control systems with a disturbance.
This expository paper contains a general survey of the area of stabilization and stability up to recent developments, using nonsmooth analysis.
