Large deviations for interacting particle systems. (English) Zbl 0941.60096

Bramson, Maury (ed.) et al., Perplexing problems in probability. Festschrift in honor of Harry Kesten. Boston: Birkhäuser. Prog. Probab. 44, 373-383 (1999).
Summary: We consider large systems of interacting particles. We obtain a large deviation principle for the empirical process viewed as a random measure on the path space. The precise rate function is obtained. While the formula is fairly general, the explicit dependence on the model is seen through quantities like bulk and self diffusion coefficients.
