Gen. 32, No. 45, 7953-7963 (1999). The authors performed a group analysis of a class of drift-diffusion systems. The concept of weak equivalence transformations is re-called, and an infinitesimal method to obtain them is illustrated. The authors obtained Lie symmetries by projection of the weak equivalence transformations for the number of drift-diffusion systems. Some applications to the drift-diffusion systems for semiconductors are presented.
