Limic, Vlada On the behavior of LIFO preemptive resume queues in heavy traffic. (English) Zbl 0955.60097 Electron. Commun. Probab. 5, 13-27 (2000). The heavy traffic behavior of a G/G/1 last-in-first-out preemptive resume queue is studied. The results are derived by extending the techniques developed for M/G/1 queues in a recent paper of the author [“A LIFO queue in heavy traffic” (Techn. Rep., UC San Diego 1999), available at http://math.cornell.edu/~limic/)].
