On the partition function of a directed polymer in a Gaussian random environment. (English) Zbl 1015.60100

The authors study a directed polymer in a Gaussian random environment, in particular in dimensions 1 and 2. They obtain the result that the normalized partition function converges to zero almost surely and that the correlation between two polymers does not go to zero, in contrast to what happens at high temperatures in higher dimensions. Some sharper estimates are also provided in high dimension.
