Formality of equivariant intersection cohomology of algebraic varieties. (English) Zbl 1023.14005
In this article, the author proves that the equivariant intersection cohomology of a complete algebraic variety endowed with an action of a connected algebraic group $$G$$ is a free module over the cohomology ring $$H^{*}(BG)$$. The result is first proven for projective varieties, and then it is shown that for a general complete variety, one can reduce to this special case.
