Clark, Alex; Sadun, Lorenzo When size matters: Subshifts and their related tiling spaces. (English) Zbl 1042.37008 Ergodic Theory Dyn. Syst. 23, No. 4, 1043-1057 (2003). The dynamics of tiling spaces associated to substitution subshifts are studied. Such a tiling system is not strongly mixing, and restrictions on the possible spectrum are found. The problem of deciding when two tiling spaces associated to the same substitution subshift are topologically conjugate is discussed.
