Stationary states. (English) Zbl 1048.53055

A stationary state of a bound frictionless microsystem is regarded as a coherent flow of micromatter on a closed Riemannian manifold \(M\) and the energy levels of the microsystem are interpreted in terms of the topological nature of this flow. An important connection of this geometrical model with the spectral geometry of \(M\) is realized via the Schrödinger equation of the microsystem.
