The asymptotic behaviour of the distribution of random variables that are defined with the help of Gaussian polynomials is investigated. The asymptotic of the probability that the random sub-space of the \(n\)-dimensional vector space over a finite field has minimal weight is obtained. Certain applications of the proved limit theorems, particularly to some problems of cryptography and information coding, are presented.
