Analytical and numerical solutions to initial-boundary value problems of the water wave motion in a reservoir. (Russian) Zbl 1051.76006

Initial-boundary value problems on the water wave motion are formulated and solved for a reservoir with invasion of a landslide or an avalanche flow. Linear and nonlinear theories of surface gravitational waves in an ideal incompressible fluid are used. Computational formulas for the speed of invasion of avalanche flow and for the amplitude of the generated wave are obtained.
