The SDFEM for a convection-diffusion problem with a boundary layer: Optimal error analysis and enhancement of accuracy. (English) Zbl 1055.65121
This paper is concerned with a convection-diffusion problem on the square unit solved by means of the streamline-diffusion finite element method (SDFEM) using a Shishkin regular mesh with piecewise bilinear trial functions. An error analysis is also discussed.
