The textbook deals with two subjects: numerical analysis and MATLAB. It can be used with success in a software-based numerical methods course. Classical numerical problems are investigated using MATLAB: solving linear, nonlinear, ordinary or partial differential equations, interpolation, least squares, quadratures, eigenvalues and Fourier analysis. The book gives extensively interactive graphical expositions of numerical algorithms, modern applications, and many exercises.
