Summary: Applied models of impulsive optimal control with discontinuous trajectories are investigated using first-order necessary optimality conditions in the form of the generalized and the variational maximum principle. The extremal of the maximum principle is rejected in one of the models studied, whereas it reaches the constraining boundary an arbitrary number of times in a model with phase constraints.
