In the last decade experimental methods detected that in the mixed layer of a supersonic axially symmetric non-isobaric gas flow exist stationary azimuthal inhomogeneous flows of density or pressure. Here the author presents numerical modeling of characteristics of stream-wise vortices in a supersonic axially symmetric jet in viscous and inviscid approximations of the hydrodynamic stability theory. The critical Reynolds numbers corresponding to the loss of the stability are found.
