Hyperbolic geometry. 2nd ed. (English) Zbl 1077.51008
Springer Undergraduate Mathematics Series. London: Springer (ISBN 1-85233-934-9/pbk). xi, 276 p. (2005).
The second edition differs from the first [J. W. Anderson, Hyperbolic geometry. Springer Undergraduate Mathematics Series. London: Springer (1999; Zbl 0934.51012)] mainly in: (1) Chapter 4, which is devoted to planar models of the Poincaré type of hyperbolic geometry, and in which the connections between complex analysis and hyperbolic geometry are stressed, introducing a good deal more of the former than in the previous edition, and (2) Chapter 6, where instead of discrete subgroups of the Möbius group, the author devotes 20 pages to the hyperboloid model of the hyperbolic plane, and gives a brief introduction to models for higher dimensional hyperbolic spaces.
