Ainsworth, Mark Dispersive properties of high-order Nédélec/edge element approximation of the time-harmonic Maxwells equations. (English) Zbl 1079.78022 Philos. Trans. R. Soc. Lond., Ser. A, Math. Phys. Eng. Sci. 362, No. 1816, 471-491 (2004). The paper deals with an analysis of the dispersive behaviour of high-order Nédélec element approximation of the time harmonic Maxwell equations at a prescribed temporal frequency. An explicit form for the one-dimensional dispersion relation is given, valid for arbitrary order of approximations.
