Casimir effect in the presence of minimal lengths. (English) Zbl 1079.81065

Summary: It is expected that the implementation of minimal length in quantum models leads to a consequent lowering of Planck’s scale. In this paper, using the quantum model with minimal length of A. Kempf et al. [J. Math. Phys. 35, No. 9, 4483–4496 (1994; Zbl 0877.17017); Phys. Rev. D (3) 52, 1108–1118 (1995); J. Phys. A, Math. Gen. 30, No. 6, 2093–2101 (1997; Zbl 0930.58026); J. Math. Phys. 37, No. 5, 2121–2137 (1996; Zbl 0883.46049)], we examine the effect of the minimal length on the Casimir force between parallel plates.
