This is a monograph on the reliability of multicomponent systems when there is dependence between lifetimes. The first seven chapters contain a comprehensive treatment of univariate lifetime distributions. The majority of the remaining chapters concern the modelling of bivariate lifetimes with a discussion of extension to the multivariate case which includes a section on Bayesian inference. The final chapter contains data from 33 studies from a variety of sources including engineering and medicine; this is supported by a commentary on the literature containing applications of the techniques. It is assumed that readers will have some background in probability and statistics.
