Robust a posteriori error estimates for nonstationary convection-diffusion equations. (English) Zbl 1099.65077

The author developes robust a posteriori error estimates for a nonstationary convection-diffusion equation using the finite element method. The estimates yield local and global bounds. Theorems on stability and convergence are established with lemmas. No numerical experiments are performed for illustration.
