The natural bundles admitting natural lifting of linear connections. (English) Zbl 1100.58001

The main purpose of the paper under review is to give a complete characterization of natural bundles \(F\) admitting natural operators \(D\) lifting classical linear connections \(\nabla\) on \(M\) into classical linear connections \(D(\nabla)\) on \(FM\). The author gives an example of a natural bundle \(F\) which does not admit such a natural operator \(D\).
