## Variable exponent, linear growth functionals in image restoration.(English)Zbl 1102.49010

The authors proposed a new model for image denoising, enhancement and restoration. The model uses various types of diffusion arising from minimization problem with variable exponent $$1 \leq p(x) \leq 2$$. The existence, uniqueness and long-time behaviour of the proposed model are established. Reported experimental results approve the effectiveness of the new model in image restoration.
