Two-dimensional noncommutative field theory on the light cone. (English) Zbl 1108.81048

The two-dimensional noncommutative field theory on the light cone from the Moyal product formalism is investigated. The Noether currents and the components of the energy-momentum tensor from the variational principle are deduced. In the paper the following items are considered: (a) the usual commutative gauge theories on the light cone; (b) the theoretical framework of the noncommutative spacetime on the light cone; (c) the Moyal product; (d) the noncommutative U(1) covariant derivative and gauge action; (e) the Noether Theorem and the corresponding currents in the noncommutative case.
