On the parallel algorithm of radiating gas flow calculations LATRANT-P. (Russian. English summary) Zbl 1109.76345

In solving kinetic equations of a general type the so-called quasi-diffusion method is often used. The method was successfully applied in problems of nonlinear interaction of a radiation and a matter. One of the basic procedures of the method is a progressive dimension reduction first on angular variables and second on the energetic variable. As a result the system of equations is divided in blocks and it is necessary to use parallel algorithms and multiprocessor computers. Here the LATRANT package usually used for simulation of radiating gas dynamics problems is adapted for use on a multiprocessor high-efficient computer systems by parallel scheme of calculation of photon energy groups.
