Khachatryan, A. Kh.; Andryan, S. M. On rarefied gas velocity shock in the linearized BGK model of the Boltzmann equation. (Russian) Zbl 1109.76366 Mat. Model. 16, No. 2, 31-42 (2004). In kinetic gas theory an important role is played by problems connected with the investigation of rarefied gas flow in a half-space bounded by a plane rigid wall. Here the linearized Boltzmann equation in a frame of the BGK-model is considered. The problem is analytically described by a uniform integral equation with the sum-difference kernel. Several effective and mathematically well-founded analytic and numerical methods are proposed and used for the solution of the problem. Some results of numerical investigations are presented.
