Mazurov, P. A.; Tsepaev, A. V. Solution method of three-dimensional nonlinear flow equation in a confined aquifer with partially penetrating wells. (Russian. English summary) Zbl 1109.76379 Mat. Model. 16, No. 3, 33-42 (2004). Domain decomposition methods (DDM) are widely used nowadays for solving different types of PDE describing problems of hydrodynamics, hydromechanics etc. Here a variant of DDM is applied for the 3D filtration problem with use of grids narrowing in near well domains to the well boundaries. As a result the problem is described by a system of nonlinear equations of a large dimension and there is a necessity to use multi- processor computers and parallel algorithms of calculations.
