Random polymer models. (English) Zbl 1125.82001

Hackensack, NJ: World Scientific (ISBN 978-1-86094-786-5/hbk). xvi, 242 p. (2007).
A random approach to disordered polymers. This book provides a probabilistic approach to a general class of polymer models described by Boltzmann factors, energy function and partition function. The main considered topics are homogeneous and inhomogeneous models, free energy and phase diagram of disordered pinning models, localized phase and delocalized phase of disordered polymers, whilst the mathematical apparatus, which is mainly related to random walk, is postponed at the end of the book. The book is self-contained and the chapters are almost independent. Some open problems are mentioned. My regret is that the notations are not sufficiently explained in the introduction
