Bulk diffusion of 1D exclusion process with bond disorder. (English) Zbl 1144.60058
The author studies a particle system on \(Z\) with special probability rates of jumps between \(k\) and \(k+1\). If the sequence of inverse rates satisfies the law of large numbers with finite limits then the hydrodynamic limit of the process is described by the heat equation. The process has subdiffusion behavior to the case in which the sequence of inverse rates satisfies the law of large numbers with infinite limits.
